The NTPC Northern Region (NR) hosted a highly informative workshop on fire prevention safety at its headquarters in Lucknow on Saturday.
The objective of the workshop was to educate participants on fire prevention, preparedness, and response strategies to minimize fire hazards. The key goals of the session included raising awareness on different types of fires, fire extinguishers, causes of industrial fires, and how to operate fire extinguishers for fire prevention.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, N S Rao, RED (NR). It was also attended by A S Bhogal, GM (OS), Samiran Sinha Ray, GM (HR), and other senior officials and employees from the Northern Region.
The workshop was conducted by the CISF NTPC Tanda Wing and focused on the fundamentals of fire prevention and detailed fire extinguisher operation. A live mock fire drill was also carried out, providing all NRHQ employees with the opportunity to gain practical experience in handling and preventing fire incidents.
