NTPC’s total installed capacity reaches 65825 MW

The total installed capacity of country’s largest power producer, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd, has increased to 65825 MW.

The last part of Bilhaur Solar PV Project at Bilhaur, Uttar Pradesh going on stream facilitated the addition in the company’s capacity.

“In line with the Corporate Disclosure requirements, we wish to inform that consequent upon successful commissioning last part capacity of 15 MW of 85 MW Bilhaur Solar PV Project at Bilhaur, UP, the unit is declared to be on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 08.04.2021,” NTPC Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 52400 MW and 65825 MW respectively and the commercial capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 51740 MW and 64505 MW respectively.

NTPC Group comprising of 46 NTPC Stations (23 Coal based stations, 7 gas based stations, 1 Hydro station, 1 small hydro, 13 Solar PV and 1 Wind based Station) and 25 Joint Venture stations (9 coal based, 4 gas based, 8 hydro, 1 small hydro 2 Wind and 1 Solar PV).
