Odisha Group of Mines (OGOM) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), has set a new single day production record by producing a total iron ores of 61,235 Tons on 30th December, 2023.
The previous best for single day production of the Mines was 57180 tons registered on 25th December 2023. Notably the Odisha Group of Mines comprises 4 mines, including Bolani, Barsuan, Kalta and Taldihi.
Incidentally, earlier in the month of December, the OGOM had consistently surpassed its single day records by producing 54880 Tons on 13th, 55700 Tons on 19th, and 56330 Tons on 23rd thereby steadily inching towards the 61,235 Tons mark.
It is worth mentioning here that, the Bolani Iron Ore Mines, had recorded its three best performances in the month of December 2023 by producing 31980 Tons, 32294 Tons and 32595 Tons.
In his New Year address, Amarendu Prakash, Chairman, SAIL congratulated the collective on this achievement and said, “Let’s break old records and create new ones everyday.”
Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, Rourkela Steel Plant with additional charge of Bokaro Steel Plant has also congratulated the collective and exhorted the Odisha Group of Mines collective to keep up the tempo.
