Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday said the on-going election would change the future of the country as the BJP-led central government had been eyeing to change the Constitution.

Urging to vote for the Congress while addressing an election meeting in Korea on Thursday, Congress President said: “If Congress comes to power in five states with your support, then Modi ji’s mouth will be shut.” Congress fights for the poor and BJP works for Adani, he added.

The Congress President charged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was so afraid of their leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress that he took their names 50 times in every meeting. Modi is working to divide the country by playing politics of hatred, he said, adding that Rahul Gandhi connected the country by taking up India Jodo Yatra.

Kharge enumerated the achievements of Congress in Chhattisgarh and sought support from the general public for the Congress candidates. The election is going to change the future of the country, because the BJP central government wants to change the constitution of the country, he added.

He said whenever elections come, the central government calls ED and IT and conducts raids on Congressmen. “BJP fields three of its candidates against our one candidate. Their two candidates ED and IT also stand in the contest,” the Congress Chief said. Congress is not afraid of ED and IT.

“If our government is formed, all the announcements in the manifesto will be fulfilled. We have also fulfilled our previous promises. Be it loan waiver of farmers or other announcements.,” Kharge said. While Congress believes in uniting, BJP works to divide. BJP is spreading hatred in the country, he added.
