Over 100 passengers from Bihar, Jharkhand missing after Balasore train mishap

Patna, June 4

There are about 100 passengers from different parts of Bihar and Jharkhand injured in the triple trains mishap near Balasore  on Friday evening while equal number is reported to be missing.

An young passenger, Rajiv Pandit from Chikni village in East Champaran district was killed in the mishap.

His father, Bhuwan Patel said Rajiv had boarded the ill fated Coromandel Express at Shalimar station in Kolkata on Friday noon .He was travelling in the general compartment and going to Chennai.

 Bhuwan said there are 11 more from the area who were injured and admitted at Cuttack and Balasore hospitals.

Sanjay Mukhiya of Bhagalpur,a daily wage earner in Chennai told his relatives today, in was trapped inside the toilet of the general compartment of Coromandel Express,when the bogey turned turtle.

Umashankar Pandit from  Godda is also admitted in Balasore Hospital.He was in the general compartment travelling to Chennai

Pandit claimed over 100 passengers from Bihar and Jharkhand are still missing.
