Three passengers who had come to Jaiprakash Narayan international airport here were found Corona positive on their arrival and have been quarantined. They were from one family.
According to the airport authorities following detection of three positive cases, entire airport building has been sanitised and flight operations rescheduled to prevent crowding. Now, only three flights would be allowed to depart within an hour from Patna airport. Every passenger is being asked to go through thermal screening before entering the terminal.
All passengers have being asked to use face masks before being entering into the terminal.
At Patna and Gaya railway stations too,passengers coming from Maharashtra are being checked for Corona virus before being allowed to leave the station building.
The Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Singh and DG of Police S K Singhal issued a joint order asking the district magistrates and SPs to ensure strict enforcement of preventive measures, including compulsory use of Masks. The joint order prohibits assembly of more than five, any public meeting or private gatherings at the marriage ceremonies. It has restricted the number at a marriage reception to 250 and at Shradh (last rites after death) to 50.
All schools and colleges, coaching centres will remain shut from tomorrow. Outsiders have been banned from entering government offices.Bihar Public Service Commission on Sunday announced suspension of all examinations starting tomorrow. All markets and Malls will have to follow social distancing and those found flouting would be closed.
Patna’s AIIMS will now restrict entry to its OPD to only 50 patients daily as it is the recognised Corona hospital. Beds in hospitals have become short to meet the demands of the Corona positive cases. Nodal officer of AIIMS Dr Sanjeev Kumar admitted Corona was spreading an at alarming pace.
Doctors here said on Sunday, 500 in 20-40 age group are also getting infected. Over 60 students of a local school have been found Corona positive. In one flat in Kankarbagh colony,13 members tested positive and entire complex was sealed today. A post graduate student of Nalanda Medical College here was also found Corona positive and quarantined.
