Patna, July 17
At a grand farewell at Shatabadi Bhawan,advocates of Patna High Court on Thursday recalled contributions of Ashutosh Kumar as an advocate and later as judge and acting chief justice.
Justice Kumar has been elevated as chief justice of Gauhati High Court. In the hall packed with the lawyers, vice president of Advocates Association, Ms Chhaya Mishra honoured Justice Kumar with a shawl.
Association president, Shailendra Kumar Singh and general secretary, Jaishankar Prasad Singh recalled some historic judgements passed by Justice Kumar.
Overwhelmed by the felicitations, Justice Kumar said he would never forget Patna, it’s lawyers and brother judges. His family members were also present. Advocate General P K Shahi was also present.
