Following the direction of the Patna High Court passed on July 13, Bihar Government on Wednesday asked all District Magistrates (DMs) and Superintendent of Police (SPs) to send details of the children of the class one and class two officers studying in different schools.
Sanjay Kumar, additional chief secretary of education department, in a circular to the DMs and SPs said class one and class two officers posted in their respective districts should ensure their children were educated in the government schools.
District education officers have been asked to confirm the children of senior officers were students of government schools and details of such students have been demanded.
Sanjay Kumar said all IAS and IPS officers in particular should follow the directions of Patna High Court. The Chief secretary would himself review the declarations made by the civil servants before submitting reply to the High Court on August 4.
