Patna, November 14
Mrs Chhaya Mishra, a leading woman lawyer of Patna High Court and former joint secretary of Advocates Association, on Monday offered her services as prosecution lawyer on behalf of father of 26-year-old-girl, Shraddha, who was brutally done to death by her friend.
She assured free legal assistance to support her father, who had filed FIR against Aftab, the main accused in the case. Mishra said, “It is worse than July 3, 1995 Tandoor case. Aftab, killer of his friend Shraddha, deserves hanging till death. The Demon not only betrayed the faith of Shraddha, who trusted him more than her parents, moved from Mumbai to Delhi, defying religious restrictions.”
It took over five months to nab the Demon Aftab, who had planned and executed the worst cold-blooded murder, chopped his friend to 35 pieces and the butcher threw them in the jungles in Mahrauli, she said, demanding speedy trial and quick execution.
The leading lawyer cautioned young girls to remain alert and be opened on personal life with parents.
Meanwhile, Aftab was presented in the court on Monday by Delhi Police, from where he was sent to police remand for 5 days. The hate story started from Mumbai where Aftab and Shraddha lived together and this story ended in Delhi.
The police investigation revealed that there has elements from fictional stories in the show ‘Dexter’, in which the protagonist is a forensics expert who leads a parallel life as a vigilante serial killer.
Aftab was adept at using a meat knife as he was trained as chef, police said. He cut the body into pieces, kept in refrigerator and then scattered those, one by one, across the city’s Mehrauli forest, police sources today said.
To counter the stench in the apartment, he would light agarbatti or incense sticks, it’s alleged.
