PESB recommends Harish Duhan as CMD of SECL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), Government of India has recommended the name of Harish Duhan for the new Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), the Chhattisgarh-based arm of state-run Coal India Limited (SECL).

Duhan is presently working as Director Technical in Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India. He has rich experience of more than 34 years in the mining sector which includes experience in implementation of First Mile Connectivity(FMC) projects, digitization and development of solar projects in coal India.

Duhan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mining from Nagpur University and joined Coal India in the year 1989 from Western Coalfields. He also holds a First Class Mine Manager Certificate and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

He has also served as Area General Manager of Nigahi Project and General Manager of Corporate Project Planning Department of Northern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India. SECL top management and officers and employees have congratulated Duhan on being selected for the post of CMD of SECL.
