Raipur, April 1
The Vishnu Deo Sai government in Chhattisgarh has given a big relief to the general public by reducing the price of petrol and has announced to make petrol cheaper by Rs 1 per litre in the budget for the new financial year 2025-26, which has come into effect from midnight on March 31.
Following the development, the price of petrol in Raipur has now come down to Rs 100.42 per litre. The reduction has come after the long-standing demand of the people of the state. Petrol prices are above Rs 100 per litre in all the cities of the state including the capital Raipur.
The common people of the state will get relief due to the reduction in the price of petrol. At the same time, the state government will suffer a revenue loss. The officials of the Commercial Tax Department, however, said that the revenue loss will be compensated by increasing consumption. It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 1 per litre in the budget of 2025-26 to provide relief to the public, which will benefit the common people, farmers and industries.
