Pitambar Gupta and Sumit Upadhyay have been unanimously elected as the President and General Secretary respectively of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Basketball Association.

The election was necessitated following the death of General Secretary and other posts in the association remaining vacant. The crucial meeting of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Basketball Association Executive Committee was held on Sunday in Raipur.  Besides the state executive, officials and members of district associations were also present.

The agenda of the meeting included the filling up of the vacant post after the death of the general secretary of the state union and the formation of new management and recognition of each district, municipal corporation and institution.  With the consent of all present members, the old executive committee was dissolved and a new executive committee was formed.

Anil Pusadkar proposed the name of Pitambar Gupta for the post of president and Sumit Upadhyay for the General Secretary. Both were unanimously elected.

Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce President Amar Parwani, Naresh Daklia, Anil Pusadkar, Pramod Singh, Rajesh Pandey, Anand Singh, Umesh Singh Thakur, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Alok Gupta, Namitabh Jain, Iqbal Ahmed, Nuren Chandrakar, Rajendra Tamboli, Senior NIS Coach Sudhir Rajpal, Pritam Das, Vishnu Pandey, Virendra Deshmukh, and Pratiyush Nemi, Amit Tiwari, Human Ram Yadu, Sunil Nayak, Devendra Mahanand, International Basketball Player Lumendra Sahu, Anju Joshi, Atul Mishra, Raghunath Mukherjee, Nalin Sharma, Abbas Alam, Raghav Pandey and others were present.
