Phulwari Sharif police in Bihar have arrested three persons including a retired sub-inspector of Jharkhand police for creating communal violence, training youths for terror and collecting funds from abroad.
The police officer has been identified as Mohammad Jalaluddin. According to Patna Additional Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar, 12 more suspects hiding in different residential colonies are wanted. They had come from Kerala and Hyderabad and believed to be the activists of banned SIMI and PFI.
According to the police, bank accounts of the arrested people have been seized. During preliminary investigation, it was found that Rs 83 lakh were received from neighbouring Islamic countries for imparting martial arts training to the youths.
Police recovered an eight-page document Vision 2047 that provoked youths of the minority community to create situation for an Islamic state by 2047, keep watch on BJP and RSS leaders and help generate communal frenzy. The arrested persons had hired a building on Gulistan colony on the outskirts of Patna, where trainers were engaged in martial training and indoctrination of the young minds against India.
Officials of central agencies including Intelligence Bureau (IB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Special Task Force (STF) have joined investigations and reached Phulwari Sharif police station. Police have searched local hotels and guest houses to trace the outstation youths involved in the martial training.
Athar Parwej, one of the arrested persons, had helped the accused of October 2013 bomb explosions at Gandhi Maidan released on bail. He had furnished security on behalf of other accused charged with terror activities. The then Prime Minister candidate, Narendra Modi had addressed an election meeting when serial explosions killed nine BJP workers.
Prime Minister was here on July 12 to address the MPs and legislators at the centenary celebrations of Bihar assembly.
