A police party raided the Indian Coffee House (ICH) in Durg district of Chhattisgarh and arrested five persons gambling in the hotel room.

The arrested persons have been identified as well-known traders of Durg city. The staff Sunday night informed the police about the suspicious activities of a few persons inside the room of railway station branch of ICH, a restaurant chain in India run by Indian Coffee Workers’ Co-operative Society (ICWCS), which set up the first Indian Coffee House on 7 August 1958 in Kerala’s Thalassery.

Acting on the information, City Superintendent of Police Jitendra Yadav raided the hotel with his team and discovered big traders of the city gambling in the room. The traders were reluctant to open the room but the police party forced them to get the passage.
