Raipur, May 20

The inter-regional carrom tournament of Power Grid Corporation of India under the aegis of Western Region-1 would start from Saturday in the Chhattisgarh capital.

The Executive Director of Power Grid Western Region-1, S Ravindar Kumar will inaugurate the event on Saturday at 10 am. The tournament will conclude on May 23.

The public sector enterprise under the ministry of power has been organizing tournaments to build sportsmanship among its workforce.

The company spokesperson informed that 11 teams from different regions of the Power Grid Corporation of India would be participating in the tournament. Besides team events, the tournament has two formats that include men and women singles, and men and women doubles.

The tournament will be held under the supervision of Chhattisgarh state carrom association.
