Prime Minister inaugurating NTPC’s Nokh Solar PV Project

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Nokh Solar Park of Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited (RSDCL) at Phalodi, Rajasthan on September 25, 2025, where NTPC is developing 735 MW of solar capacity.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the ASHVINI’s Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (MBRAPP) – 4X700 MW at Banswara, Rajasthan. With an investment of around Rs 42,000 crore, this project will emerge as one of the largest nuclear power plants in the country, providing reliable base-load energy and reinforcing India’s leadership in environmental stewardship and the evolving nuclear energy landscape.

Nokh Solar Park (925 MW) , RE project will significantly contribute to India’s clean energy capacity, generating substantial amounts of green power while avoiding millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year undertaken by NTPC Northern Region Headquarters.  In addition to strengthening energy security, they will also spur economic growth by creating thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The project is being commissioned in phases, with more capacity set to come online progressively. Upon completion, it will make a substantial contribution to NTPC’s green energy portfolio and further its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2070, in line with the Government of India’s vision for energy transition.

With the commissioning of Nokh, NTPC continues to expand its renewable energy footprint, cementing its role as a leading driver of India’s clean energy transformation and sustainable growth.

The inauguration was attended by respected  Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, MP (Jodhpur)  joined through Video Conference  and Pabba Ram Bishnoi MLA Phalodi , Sukhram Pindel, SDM, and was virtually joined by Goutam Deb, Regional Executive Director (N), NTPC.

The event also witnessed the gracious presence of M. Srinivas, Head of Project, Nokh; Samiran Sinha Ray, ROHR (HR) along with the NRHQ team; Ajay Kumar Shukla GM(RE-PM), Ashok Kumar Gautam and the Nokh project team, as well as enthusiastic participation from local villagers & Local Revenue Officers and Police Officers and RSDCL Team.
