The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visited Smruti Mandir in Nagpur on Sunday morning.

The Smruti Mandir is a memorial at Reshimbagh in Nagpur, Maharashtra dedicated to Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar, the founders of world’s largest voluntary organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

He paid homage to Dr Hedgewar and Golwalkar in the Smruti Mandir. 

In a post on X, he wrote: “Visiting Smruti Mandir in Nagpur is a very special experience. Making today’s visit even more special is the fact that it has happened on Varsha Pratipada, which is also the Jayanti of Param Pujya Doctor Sahab.” 

“Countless people like me derive inspiration and strength from the thoughts of Param Pujya Doctor Sahab and Pujya Guruji. It was an honour to pay homage to these two greats, who envisioned a strong, prosperous and culturally proud Bharat,” the Prime Minister said.

Modi also signed the visitor’s book and wrote a special message. ‘Hundreds of salutations to the most revered Dr Hedgewar and revered Guruji. I am overwhelmed to come to this Smriti Mandir, to cherish their memories. This place dedicated to the values ​​of Indian culture, nationalism and organization power inspires us to move forward in the service of the nation,” Modi wrote.

The place of these two strong pillars of the Sangh is a source of energy for lakhs of volunteers dedicated to the service of the country. May the fortunes of Mother India always increase with their efforts.
