Raipur, April 8
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched the election campaign in Chhattisgarh for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and vowed he would not sit idle till the concerns of poor were addressed.
Addressing a mammoth election rally Sankalp Shankhnad on Monday in Bastar Lok Sabha Constituency’s Bhanpuri village that happens to be the home turf of BJP stalwart late Baliram Kashyap, Prime Minister took a dig at a serious Congress leader threating to hit on his head. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, State BJP President Kiran Deo and other senior leaders were present on the occasion. “Modi is a son of the poor and walks with his head held high. Modi is not afraid of their threats,” the Prime Minister said.
Those who looted the poor should be punished. If someone enters the house and starts looting, every member of the family fights and for Modi, entire India is his family. He said that crores of people of the country would protect Modi. “When we blocked the path of scammers and stopped the income of middlemen, their temper reached sky high. Congress did corruption in Chhattisgarh. The people here were cheated, their investigation is going on. I am busy saving my country, my family from looting,” he added.
The Prime Minister said he talked about removing corruption while Congress worked in saving the corrupt. The Congress government has become synonyms of corruption while the poor suffer the most due to it. Corruption takes away the rights of the poor. Before 2014, there used to be scams worth lakhs of crores of rupees. During the Congress government, Rs 1 was issued from Delhi and only 15 paise reached the people. This was said by the Prime Minister of Congress itself.
“Now, tell me which Panja (the election symbol of Congress party, hand) has ate the remaining 85 paise?” the Prime Minister said. Modi stopped such system of looting. The BJP government has sent Rs 34 lakh crore directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in 10 years. Sent 1 rupee from Delhi and the entire 100 paise was deposited in the accounts of the poor, he added. The money was now going directly and Congress could not loot even a single penny. “If there was a Congress government in the country, it would have looted Rs 28 lakh crore out of Rs 34 lakh crore from the poor,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister said the country had made outstanding and historic growth in last 10 years. The people of Chhattisgarh have approved Modi’s guarantee and today with this confidence the entire country is saying – once again Modi government. After many decades, the country has seen a stable and strong BJP government. The welfare of the poor has been the biggest priority of the government. After independence, the needs of the poor were ignored by Congress governments for decades.
“Modi knows the pain of living under a kutcha roof, Modi knows what a mother goes through when there is no ration in the house, Modi knows the pain when she has to buy medicine and there is no money in the house to buy it,” the Prime Minister said.
Modi said that they started Ayushman Arogya Mandir with Bastar vision. Ayushman Arogya Mandir is prominently providing the benefits of cheap treatment and affordable tests to the poor across the country. Thousands of Ayushman Arogya temples have been built here in Chhattisgarh also. Because of these health temples, the poor have got great treatment facilities and their worries have reduced.
Taking about the Ram Navami festival, the Prime Minister said Ram Lalla would not be worshipped inside the tent but in a grand temple in Ayodhya on the occasion. This dream has been fulfilled after 500 years. It is natural for Ram’s maternal home Chhattisgarh to be most happy about this. But Congress and INDI alliance are angry with the construction of Ram temple. The ‘royal family’ of Congress is angry. Congress leaders rejected the invitation for the consecration of Ram temple. The Congress leaders who considered this move wrong were expelled from the party.
