Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited the residence of Sushil Kumar Modi and paid floral tribute to the senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.
Sushil Kumar Modi died last week battling cancer in Patna, Bihar. Soon after landing in Patna, the Prime Minister drove straight to the residence of late Sushil Kumar Modi.
“The absence of popular BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi is being felt by every party worker in Bihar. After coming to Patna today, I am emotional remembering him. Here I met his family members and shared grief,” Modi took to X.
After condoling the bereaved family members, he reached the BJP’s state headquarters to hold deliberations with party workers ahead of the last couple of phases of Lok Sabha elections. Modi arrived in Patna on his second visit to the city within a week in the thick of the Lok Sabha elections.
Last weekend, the Prime Minister held the city in thrall with a spectacular roadshow. He is scheduled to retire at the Raj Bhavan for the night and leave Tuesday morning for election rallies in Siwan and East Champaran districts.
