The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today gave an overt signal that the alleged irregularities in the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (PSC) selection list will be top poll plank in the coming assembly election as Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the Congress government on the issue.
Addressing the Parivartan Mahasankalp Rally in Bilaspur on Saturday, Modi said he assured the youth of Chhattisgarh that after coming to power, the BJP government would take stringent action against those involved in the alleged PSC scam. He quizzed what did the Congress government give to the youth of Chhattisgarh? The PSC scam is a big fraud on the youth, he said. The youth of Chhattisgarh who got jobs also faced uncertainty and those who were deprived of them faced injustice, he added.
The Prime Minister announced after the formation of the BJP government in the state, in the first meeting of the cabinet, a decision will be taken to provide permanent houses to the houseless poor families as soon as possible. He said that the Central Government purchased every grain of paddy from the farmers. “I am saying this with full responsibility,” Modi said.
Giving guarantees to the farmers, the Prime Minister said that the BJP had been dedicated to the farmers. If the BJP government is formed in Chhattisgarh, the interests of farmers will be fully taken care of. He said that he had fulfilled the guarantee given to sisters, mothers and daughters. The Nari Shakti Vandan Act has now become law.
The Prime Minister said that Chhattisgarh is ready for a change (in power). Modi was attending the programme that marked the confluence of Parivartan Yatras taken out by the BJP to “change” the Congress government in Chhattisgarh. The yatras converge at the Science College ground in Bilaspur. The Prime Minister Modi along with BJP State President Arun Sao rode a chariot and intersected the huge crowd to reach the stage.
Former Chief Minister BJP National Vice President Dr. Raman Singh, Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel and all senior leaders warmly welcomed the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted women in Chhattisgarhi dialect and chanted Jai Johar. He started his speech by raising the slogan of Badal Ke Rahibo, Au Nahi Sahibo.
He said that he came to Bilaspur many times. “Even when I was working for an organization, I came many times. Even when I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. Raman Singh used to call me to meet you on every occasion. But I never saw such enthusiasm,” Modi said. Such enthusiasm of youth and mother has never been seen before. Was able to see old people. Along with this, new energy was experienced.
