Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was able to roam around the valley because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“It is because of PM Modi, that Rahul Gandhi is free to roam around and enjoy his time in Kashmir,” Singh said while underlining that the security situation in the Kashmir valley has improved after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister. When they were in the centre and the state, they never dared to come out of their security blanket, the Minister said, adding that PM Modi who has ensured their ‘Azadi’ and security.
Addressing a public meeting in Udhampur, Singh said for the first time after PM Modi took over in 2014, Jammu and Kashmir found an outlet for its rich natural resources which were left unexplored for over half a century. A large network of roadways, the world’s highest railway bridge and Purple Revolution in the form of Aroma Mission, which is becoming a role model for the entire country. All these promises avenues of employment, business, well-being and prosperity for the youth of J&K, Singh said.
The Bhartiya Janata Party’s manifesto for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. It has made 25 promises, focussing on women, youths, Kashmiri Pandits, restoring temples and wiping out terrorism. Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls will be held in three phases on September 18, 25 and October 1.
The 90 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 7 seats are reserved for SCs and 9 seats are reserved for STs, will go to the polls in three phases on September 18, 25 and October 1. According to the Election Commission of India, Jammu and Kashmir has 88.06 lakh eligible electors. The union territory goes on maiden assembly elections after the abrogation of Article 370.
