A teacher posted in a government English school in Arang block of Raipur district has been tested positive for COVID-19.
Following symptoms, the teacher has undergone the test for the novel coronavirus. According to school principal, the report was received on Tuesday morning that confirmed the teacher infected with COVID-19.
The authorities are however conducting further tests to ascertain whether the teacher has been infected with the new variants. The school authorities are carrying out the tests of other staffs. The entire premises has been sanitized and locked.
The local administration officials said the close would remain close for next three days. The COVID tests will also be carried out on students having come in the contact of teacher, the officials added.
The schools in Chhattisgarh have reopened with full strength.
