Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais will decide whether Chief Minister Hemant Soren will remain the member of the state legislative assembly or will he get a clean chit?
The Election Commission of India has reportedly sent its opinion to Governor Ramesh Bais in connection with a compliant related to the office of profit Chief Minister Hemant Soren in. Hemant Soren is accused of getting the mining lease allotted in his name while being a departmental minister. This disclosure was made by former BJP Chief Minister Raghuvar Das.
The BJP had lodged a complaint with the Governor, Ramesh Bais, seeking disqualification of Soren as member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly for taking the contract while holding the office of profit. The Governor had sought the opinion of the Election Commission of India in this regard. After a long hearing, the commission had completed the proceedings recently and had reportedly sent the report to the Governor.
BJP Member of Parliament Nishikant Dubey tweeted that the Election Commission has sent its report to the Governor.
Governor Ramesh Bais is presently in Delhi and will return to Ranchi on Thursday afternoon. After examining the report sent by the poll panel, he would give his decision.
