The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided the houses and business premises of an arms dealer at two different places here on Tuesday.
The raids were conducted in connection with the recovery of sophisticated arms and ammunition at Purnia on the West Border last year.
According to NIA spokesman, the Patna based arms dealers who were engaged in pharmaceuticals business have links with the banned NSCN(IM) of Nagaland and a Naxalite terrorist gang of Tritya Prastuti Committee.
The spokesman claimed the Patna based dealers had transferred a huge amount of funds to the account of accused Ningkhan Sangtam, the self styled Major of the NSCN.
The investigation revealed that a large number of illegal sophisticated prohibited weapons and ammunitions were supplied by the Patna based dealer to the absconding accused Bhikhan Ganjhu, zonal commander of the banned Naxal organization.
The houses of Chandra Vijay Pratap alias Sushil and premises of M/S Sanmario Pharmaceuticals private limited here were raided. Vijay is the director of the company.
Police had earlier found two under barrel grenade launchers, one AK series rifle, 1800 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition that were concealed in the SUV.
