Bhopal, March 1
REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE and a leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh at the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal.
Under this agreement, REC has committed to providing financial support of Rs 21,000 crore over the next five years for the development of power sector infrastructure in the state.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Mohan Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh; Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy); Avinash Lawania, IAS, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL); Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director, REC Limited; Satyaban Sahu, Chief Project Manager (Bhopal), REC; and other senior officials from MPPMCL and REC Limited.
The MoU marks a significant step towards enhancing the power supply network in Madhya Pradesh and accelerating the state’s transition towards renewable energy. The investment will focus on strengthening transmission and distribution infrastructure, promoting sustainable energy solutions, and improving overall power reliability for industries, businesses, and households across the state.
