National vice president of RJD Shivanand Tiwari on Wednesday asked the chief minister, Nitish Kumar to hand over the chair of chief minister to his deputy Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
Speaking at the state council of RJD in presence of Lalu Prasad, Tiwari said Nitish should facilitate Tejashwi to take over as CM and advised him to join Ashram. Tiwari reminded Nitish about his earlier commitment to stay in an ashram and RJD leader promised he would also stay with Nitish in the ashram.
On Tuesday, Nitish had told media he would work for opposition unity now. “Now, I will promote young leaders like Tejashwi,” he said.
However, RJD leader’s advice was turned down by JDU. Chairman of JDU Parliamentary board Upendara Kushwaha said it was an appropriate for the octogenarian, Shivanand Tiwari to join an Ashram.
Lalu Prasad said he would meet AICC President, Sonia Gandhi with Nitish Kumar to stress opposition unity.
Referring to the two-days visit of home minister, Amit Shah in Seemanchaasjef Nitish Kumargion of Bihar from Thursday, Lalu apprehended, disturbance in communal harmony and asked Nitish Kumar to be vigilant as communal incidents ( danga fasad) may take place.
