Ambikapur, May 29
Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) in collaboration with Adani Foundation and ATMSL inaugurated community infrastructure projects in Tara village of Chhattisgarh.
The program, which was part of RRVUNL’s commitment towards tribal and rural development, was held under the chairmanship of MLA Bhulan Singh Maravi, in which local public representatives, administrative officers and villagers participated.
Under the initiative, a community shed has been constructed in the village, which will now be useful for social events and meetings. A passenger waiting shed has been constructed for local passengers, which will provide convenience in travel.
Also, a boundary wall was constructed around the school premises to ensure safety of the school and better educational environment for the children. A solar powered high-water tank has been installed to provide continuous and clean water supply to the village. Apart from the initiative, the Anganwadi Centre of Tara village was renovated and provided with essential amenities including RO water facility.
Chief Guest MLA Bhulan Singh Maravi, in his address, said “Such projects not only fulfill the basic needs but also contribute to the overall development of the village. Sustainable rural development is possible only with the joint participation of government, industry and society.”
The residents of Tara village expressed their deep gratitude for the infrastructure development works and said that these facilities would bring positive changes in their daily lifestyle.
On this occasion, Smt. Nayan Sidar (District Panchayat Member), Phoolesh Sidar (District President), Mrs. Punia Rajwade (District Vice President), Mrs. Rajni Singh, Mrs. Kanchan Shyam, Mahendra (District Member), Mrs. Sampatiya Singh (Sarpanch, Tara), Raunak Ara (Upper Sarpanch, Tara), Ram Dwivedi (HR Head, Adani Foundation), and Ms. Mitila Banjara (BJP Mandal Representative) were present.
Adani Foundation, in partnership with RRVUNL and ATMSL, is running various programs for tribal empowerment, including health services, education, livelihood promotion, skill development, women empowerment and strengthening of infrastructure. The Foundation aims to ensure long-term, inclusive and effective social change, leading tribal communities towards sustainable development.
