Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak (chief) Mohan Bhagwat met the prominent personalities of Patna; had jalpaan with them a day before joining the film star Mithun Chakarvarty in Mumbai for a breakfast.
Bhagwat, who was in the state for the last five days, attended the state executive committee meeting of RSS and laid the foundation of a Dharamshala near AIIMS. The doctors, lawyers, professors were invited for a mini-lunch with the RSS Chief at Vijay Niketan, the RSS regional headquarters for Bihar and Jharkhand in Rajendra Nagar.
The host and the guests were seated on the floor while having their food. They exchanged the latest information in their field of expertise. Those present included noted danseuse and retired civil servant Shobhna Narayan, President of Indian Medical Association Dr Sahjananad Prasad Singh, Chairman of Bar Council of India Mannan Kumar Mishra, Former Justice of Patna High Court Rajendra Prasad Singh, Lt General (retired) J N Chaudhury and former officer on special duty in home ministry on Ayodhya affairs Kishore Kunal.
One of the guests requested the RSS chief to help the population control legislations passed by the Parliament, another suggested transparency in the activities related to construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya and also involving locals on development of the holy city. “It should be allowed to remain a holy city, not a tourist centre only,” another suggested to Sangh Chief.
Ramdutt Chakradhar, Kshetreey Pracharak (regional) of RSS for Jharkhand-Bihar, told this correspondent, “Since Bhagwatji was in Patna, a small get together of the selected intellectuals on Jalpaan was organised. EK dusre ka haal chaal jaana gaya (Exchanged mutual well beings).”
Bhagwat was in-charge of organisation in Bihar in 90s and stayed in Vijay Niketan near Rajendra Nagar.
