Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat besides other dignitaries would address the nation through electronic media under the ‘Positivity Unlimited’ initiative to boost the morale of people amidst COVID-19 induced pandemic.
Titled “Positivity Unlimited”, the programme will begin on May 11 and go on till May 14. The series would conclude with the address of RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat. The programme would be aired on facebook.com/VishwaSamvadKendraBharat) youtube.com/VishwaSamvadKendraBharat) from 4.30 pm to 5 pm.
The other personalities likely to participate in the event include Shankaracharya Vijendra Saraswati, industrialist Azim Premji, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Gyandevji from Nirmal Sant Akhara, Padma Vibhushan Sonal Mansingh and Jain Muni Prananath of Tirapanthi Jain Samaj.
The speakers will talk about how to remain positive in challenging times. “The aim is to boost the morale of the public and encourage them to fight this together. The idea is to give hope that we shall win eventually,” said the convener of Sangh’s Covid Response Team (CRT) Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmeet Singh.
A civil society initiative, Covid Response Team (CRT), will be coordinating the lecture series. The organisations associated with the CRT range from FICCI and CII to RSS’s Sewa Bharti and Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth.
CRT has taken many initiatives to strengthen the central and state governments’ fight against Covid. It believes that there has to be a coordinated and united effort by the society to defeat COVID-19. Guided by this belief, it has taken multiple initiatives to provide relief to the people.
It is serving food to 28000 Covid affected families daily. And, it has also set up nine isolation centres with a bed capacity of 500 for the comfort of the Covid patients. Volunteers are stationed outside multiple hospitals to guide the patients and their families.
The initiative has established a dedicated helpline number for guiding the people about the availability of beds in hospitals, Oxygen availability, food packets etc. It has received more than 90000 distress calls so far. The civil society initiative has also launched an Oxygen on Wheel under which there are 7 vans with six beds each.
