The Bar & Rod Mill (BRM) of SAIL–Bhilai Steel Plant has recorded a significant achievement by successfully producing and supplying non-standard TMT bars for a prestigious and technically demanding order.
Alongside meeting its production targets, BRM continues to distinguish itself through focused product enhancement, customer-centric operations and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Under its consistent pursuit of technological upgradation and process improvement aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction, BRM received a challenging order from L&T for rolling and supplying non-standard TMT bars of 16 mm profile in customised lengths of 7 metres, 7.5 metres, 9 metres and 11 metres. This product had never before been rolled by any SAIL unit. Rising to the challenge, BRM’s skilled and dedicated team accomplished successful production of this specialised product within a record timeframe and completed delivery to L&T well within the stipulated schedule, marking an important milestone for the mill.
Congratulating the BRM collective on this accomplishment, Chitta Ranjan Mohapatra, Director I/c (BSP), Rakesh Kumar, ED (Works) and the members of Senior Management appreciated and expressed confidence that the mill’s team would continue setting new benchmarks by meeting even the most demanding targets with the same vigour and commitment.
Yogesh Shastri, HoD & CGM (BRM), lauded the achievement as a result of collective effort, dedication and teamwork, extending his greetings to the entire BRM fraternity.
On this occasion, S N Tripathi, GM (Operations), Ashish, GM (Electrical), Shashwat Mohanty, GM (Operations), Sameer Pandey, GM (Operations) and Shikhar Tiwari, GM (Mechanical) also congratulated the BRM team for accomplishing this significant feat.
