SAIL-Bhilai welcomes CRPF women bikers

Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) accorded a rousing reception to 75 women bikers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on a bike expedition from Delhi to Maoists den in Bastar.

Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 75 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Women Bikers riding on Royal Enfield motorcycles are on a 1848 km long bike expedition.

Having commenced their journey from India Gate, New Delhi on Thursday, 9th March, the women bikers are on their way to their destination, Jagdalpur in naxal-affected region of Chhattisgarh, showcasing the resilience and strength women power and spreading the message of women empowerment during their 17-day journey.

The women’s bike rally will culminate on March 25 at Jagdalpur where they would participate in the 84th CRPF Day Commemoration Parade on Saturday, 25th March, 2023.

Aligned to the spirit of Women Empowerment and charged with the feeling of pride for the Nation, the CRPF Women Braveheart Bikers Squad have reached Chhattisgarh, winding their way through the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The Bike Expedition passed through Bhilai on Wednesday at around 12:30 hrs. In Bhilai, the Bikers Expedition was welcomed by the senior officials of Bhilai Steel Plant including women officers at Equipment Square near Bhilai Steel Plant Main Gate.

Among the senior officers who welcomed the women Bikers were Smt. Nisha Soni, CGM (HRD & BE), Smt. Sushmita Dey, CGM (Marketing), Smt. Shubha Banchhor, GM (Marketing) and Shri. Jacob Kurian, GM (LA & PR).

The women bikers were felicitated with women officers putting Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav badges on some of them. Women officers and employees of CISF were also present when the women bikers were welcomed.
