SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Modex Unit, Bar and Rod Mill has once again created a new day record as well as shift record.
On 25th April 22, Bar & Rod Mill set a new day record by rolling out 1562 billets to produce 3218 Tonnes of TMT 16 mm Bars, surpassing the previous best of 1476 billets rolled and 3035 T of TMT 16 mm Bars on 20th March 2022.
A new shift record was also created by BRM. As many as 614 billets were rolled in C shift on 25th April 22 with 1265 T production of TMT 16 recorded. The previous best shift record was set a couple of days earlier on 23rd April 22 with 580 billets rolled in C Shift and 1195 T production of TMT 16 recorded. It was for the first time that the milestone of rolling 600 billets in a shift was crossed.
Director I/c Bhilai Steel Plant, Anirban Dasgupta, ED (Works) Anjani Kumar, ED (Projects) A K Bhatta and senior officers of the Plant visited the Mill to congratulate the self-motivated BRM Team for the superlative performance and expressed confidence that the team would continue its record-breaking performance.
Mukesh Gupta, CGM (BRM) gave credit to the teamwork of BRM collective, timely maintenance and support of associated departments for the record-breaking performance. The entire team is committed to set new records, he said, expressing confidence that the energetic team would achieve future targets.
