SAIL-Bhilai’s Modex unit Bar and Rod Mill (BRM) has once again created a new day record in rolling of 10 mm TMT Bars.
On Monday, BRM set a new day record by rolling out 1152 billets to produce 2396 Tonnes of 10 mm TMT Bar, surpassing the previous record of rolling 1141 billets into 2388 tonnes of 10 mm TMT Bar on November 14, 22, the company said in a statement.
Director In-charge Bhilai Steel Plant, Anirban Dasgupta and Executive Director (Works) Anjani Kumar visited Bar and Rod Mill and personally congratulated members of the BRM Team led by Mukesh Gupta, CGM (BRM) for the record-breaking performance.
Bar and Rod Mill is designed to roll out a wide variety of sections in the form of straight bars and wire rod coils. The Mill is capable of producing high carbon steel, spring steel and bearing steel, Electrode quality, free cutting quality steel, cold headed steel, low alloy steel, forging quality steel rounds.
The superior product quality of products, with negative tolerance and consistent mechanical properties and good weldability has been widely appreciated by customers of SAIL-Bhilai.
