Rourkela, January 15
The members of the Board of Directors of Steel Authority of India Limited are in a visit to Rourkela to attend the Board Meeting.
Ms. Soma Mondal, Chairman SAIL, arrived Rourkela at Rourkela on 14th January 2023 along with Ashok Kumar Tripathy, Independent Director (SAIL), Prof. (Dr.) K Jayaprasad, Independent Director (SAIL) and Krishna Kumar Singh, Director Personnel (SAIL). At the Airport they were accorded a warm welcome by Atanu Bhowmick, DIC (RSP), P K Satapathy, ED (P&A) and other senior officers of the Plant.
The High level delegation was accorded warm welcome on reaching Rourkela House. A colourful Guard of Honour was presented to the Chairman on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that, the Board Meeting of SAIL will be held at Rourkela on 16th January 2023. The other members who are scheduled to attend the meeting are: Anirban Dasgupta, Director in-charge (Bhilai Steel Plant), Amarendu Prakash, Director in-charge (Bokaro Steel Plant), Kanhaiya Sarda, Independent Director, Mrs. Neelam Sonker, Independent Director, Sagi Kasi Viswanatha Raju, Independent Director, Dr. Gopal Singh Bhati, Independent Director, Vijendla Srinivasa Chakravarthy, Director (Commercial), Brijendra Pratap Singh, Director in-charge (Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plant), Anil Kumar Tulsiani, Director (Finance) and Arvind Kumar Singh, Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials).
The visiting dignitaries planted saplings at IG Park on 15th January 2023. Anirban Dasgupta, Dr. Gopal Singh Bhati and Prof (Dr.) K. Jayaprasad visited various units of the Plant on 15th January.
