Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), a flagship arm of state-run Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), exported 1.06 lakh tonnes of different grades of steel to different countries in the financial year 2021-22 (FY22).
Exports included 30,600 Tonnes of plates to United Arab Emirates and 18,573 Tonnes of wire rods to Nepal, 6335 Tonnes of CCS slabs to European Union, and 16,209 T of CCS slabs to Thailand and 34,762 Tonnes of CCS slabs to China.
Exports of plates to United Arab Emirates included 12,236 T of high tensile plates, 18,063 T of mild steel grade plates and 301 tonnes of BS S355 JRAR 16 Grade of plates. While CC EN 10025-2 S275 JR grade of CCS slabs were exported to European Union, CCQ235B grade of slabs were exported to Thailand. Exports to China included CCJIS G3101 and CC Q235B grade of CCS slabs. Exports to Nepal included SAE 1008 grade of Wire Rods.
