SMS 2’s CAT Loader is a useful instrument for loading of spillage, Slag, Scrap. Since it is a chain-mounted CAT loader, the equipment works where surfaces are hot as well. Of late, the CAT loader was not functioning properly due to faults in its engine and other parts.
Since it a special kind of equipment with imported spares, it was difficult to get its spare parts. Exchanging the faulty engine with a new one was an expensive and time-taking alternative. The innovative job has been possible due to the efforts of the Plant Garage team. Sudhir Gupta, G N Raju, Ashok Rai, Ajay Singh Dhruve, Deepak Pandit, Bireshwar Mandal, Lokeshwar and others contributed towards carrying out this task successfully.
Engine transmission of Dump Post’s Dozer N-129-A and revamping of Track converter was done which also led to huge savings. R V N Mohan, Yogendra Kumar Meshram, Omlal Nayak, Tata Rao, Vimal, ShriGyan Singh, Anand Kumar Thakur, Painter Suresh Kumar Yadav and their associates successfully completed the revamping processes.
