SAIL earns ‘Great Place to Work’ certification for third straight year

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been awarded the prestigious ‘Great Place to Work’ certification for the period February 2026 to February 2027, marking its third consecutive year of recognition.

At SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant, the certificate was handed over to Chitta Ranjan Mohapatra, Director I/C (BSP), by Pawan Kumar, ED (HR), reaffirming the Plant’s commitment to a transparent, inclusive and high-trust work environment. Sanjay Dwivedi, GM (HR-Mills, M&S), and Pratap Shekhar Naik, DGM (HR-Mills) were also present on this occasion.

Chitta Ranjan Mohapatra, DIC, stated that this accreditation reaffirms SAIL’s commitment to fostering a culture of trust, transparency and employee engagement across its units. He added that Bhilai Steel Plant has played a proactive role in strengthening participative management practices and creating a positive, high-performance work environment aligned with the company’s core values.

The certification follows a comprehensive assessment by the Great Place to Work Institute based on employee feedback through the Trust Index survey.SAIL’s Trust Index score improved significantly to 83 in 2026, up from77 in 2025 and 73 in 2024 , signifying growing employee confidence in leadership and workplace culture. Survey responses were taken from around 3,100 employees across SAIL, including nearly 900 from Bhilai Steel Plant.

In the five key dimensions of the survey, SAIL scored 83 in Credibility of Management, 82 in Respect for People, 81 in Fairness at the Workplace, 87 in Pride, and 84 in Camaraderie Between People.
