SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) won multiple awards at the 16th Global Communication Conclave, organised on November 11 and 12, 2022 at Kolkata under the aegis of Public Relations Council of India, a pan-India Communication Exchange forum and Young Communicators Club.
RSP won the Diamond award in ‘Best Corporate Event’, and a silver each in the categories viz. ‘Best PR Case Study’, ‘Best PSU implementing CSR’, ‘Best Corporate Film’ and ‘Most Resilient Company,’ in the Global Conclave that was inaugurated by Aroop Biswas, Minister for Power, Housing, Youth Services and Sports, Government of West Bengal.
The theme of the conclave was ‘Custodians of reputation — building a new narrative’.
The team RSP represented by Ms. Archana Satpathy, DGM PR and CoC, Ms. Munmun, Mitra, GM (CSR), S R Biswal, Manager (PR) and Sasanka Pattanaik, Assistant Manager (PR) received the awards in the valedictory function of the conclave.
Sobhandev Chattopadhyay, Minister for Agriculture, Government of West Bengal was the Chief Guest in the concluding ceremony. The glittering award giving function was attended by a galaxy of professionals from Public Relations, Marketing, Health, Education, CSR and Media from across the country as well as from neighboring countries.
Besides, Ms. Archana Satpathy, was felicitated with the ‘ PR Hall of Fame Award’ in the conclave for more than 25 years of dedicated service as a Public Relations professional.
It is noteworthy that the awards conferred on RSP are a recognition of its effective, visible and impacting practices in different initiatives which have helped the company in excelling in its plethora of endeavours.
