SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was conferred with the ‘Brands of Odisha, Pride of India Corporate Excellence award’ in Platinum category.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal gave away the award at the glittering program organised by the Sambad Group at Bhubaneswar that was inaugurated online by Naveen Pattnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha.
Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Chairman, Sambad Group and Member of Legislative Assembly and Monica Nayyar Patnaik, MD, Sambad Group were also present on the occasion.
A K Pradhan, ED (Projects) and Ms. Archana Satpathy, DGM (PR) and Chief of Communications, RSP received the award on behalf of RSP.
It is noteworthy that the award has been presented in recognition of the remarkable strides of RSP in expanding its footprint globally by exploring new market segments and delivering its products across the world besides catering to the domestic market. The award also recognizes the brand RSP that has brought glory to both the state and the country through its business excellence.
Notably, RSP has been contributing to nation building since the last six decades. Also known as the ‘Shilpa Konark’ of Odisha, RSP has played an instrumental role in ushering holistic development in the region. The Steel Plant has imbibed a credo to make quality steel and spread lasting smiles amongst the people living in its neighbourhood.
