Rourkela, January 12
SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), is gearing up to welcome the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Trophy with an array of programmes on 14th January, 2023.
Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge (DIC), RSP will receive the prestigious trophy in the presence of Senior Officers, representatives of Trade Unions, Executive Association, and large number of employees on 14th Morning at the Shilpa Konark enclosure located in front of the Main Gate of the Steel Plant.
The Trophy will thereafter make its way through the city in a decorated vehicle to reach Indira Gandhi Park Chowk at 10 am. The Trophy vehicle will then move to Biju Pattnaik Chowk, Sector-2 to reach at 10.20 AM and proceed to Sector-5 Chowk thereafter.
The cavalcade will reach Biju Pattnaik Hockey Stadium at 10.45 am where the prestigious trophy will be given a rousing welcome by the cadets of SAIL Hockey Academy. The trophy vehicle will thereafter march ahead from Kendriya Vidyalay at 11.10 am and reach the National Flag Complex at 11.20 am where Yoga Programmes will be organised to mark the occasion.
The trophy convoy will arrive 7/17 Chowk at 11.50 am and proceed further to reach Sector-8 Chowk at 12.20 pm before arriving at Civic Centre at 1 pm where cultural programmes have been planned to welcome the coveted trophy. The cavalcade will move through Rourkela House Chowk to VIP Chowk at 1.30 PM before reaching CISF Barrack at 1.50 pm where it’ll be given a ceremonial welcome by CISF personnel.
Various educational institutes, community centres, market committees and socio cultural organizations will give the trophy a rousing welcome at different places identified for this purpose.
All the Rourkelites are requested to join the celebrations and extend a warm welcome to the prestigious trophy of the 15th edition of the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup.
