To strengthen the security and surveillance at SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant a drone (Remote Piloted Aircraft) has been handed over to the CISF unit in a function organised at Hirakud Gate of the plant.

Debabrata Dutta, CGM In-Charge (HSM 1&2) handed over the drone to Shikar Sahay, DIG (CISF), in the presence of Sudip Palchoudhury CGM (I &A), Ashok Jalwania, Commandant CISF, M K Das, Deputy Commandant (CISF), A K Jena, GM In-charge(E&A) and other officers of RSP and CISF personnel.

The drone is equipped with high resolution day/night camera having high end communication and safety features compliant with UAV (Unmanned Aerial vehicle).

This  DGCA compliant and DGCA certified equipment will enhance the aerial surveillance. Earlier, nine CISF personnel were trained  in operation of the drone.
