SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant organised two medical health camps recently through the Mobile Medical Unit to make the health care services easily accessible near the door steps of the beneficiaries.

The first one was organised at the Old Age Home, Sector – 4 and second one in the slum area of Sector-15 Cheap Type market area. Dr. Somali Kongari (Medicine) examined the patients and treated them. She also advised the patients regarding the preventive measures with regard to the diseases they were suffering from. She was assisted by Ms. Jayanti Miz (Bio Chemist) and Mr. Manish Abadiah (Pharmacist)

Around 107 patients were examined and treated by Dr. Somali Kongari (Medicine) and Dr. Barsa Rani Bhoi (Skin) in the health camp organised at Sector – 15  slum. Mr. Dilip Kumar Bisoyee (Pathologist) and Mr. Mihir Mohanty (Pharmacist) helped the team in blood test and medicine distribution.

 Random Blood Samples were collected and tested on the spot in both the places to assess the health issues prevalent in the area. Free medicines were distributed as per the prescription of the doctor. 

The camp was the joint effort of CSR Department and Medical and Health Services unit of RSP.
