The Chhattisgarh-based Sarda Energy and Minerals Limited (SEML) has commenced the operations at its coal washery located in Raigarh district.
“We are pleased to inform that after having received all required approvals, the Company has commenced operations at its Coal Washery at Raigarh,” SEML said in a regulatory filing today. The Coal Washery is located within the Gare Palma IV/7 coal mine premises and has an annual capacity of 0.96 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA).
In December last, SEML has started the commercial mining operations at Gare Palma IV/7 coal mine that it has won in the auctions in November 2020.
SEML, the flagship arm of Sarda Group incorporated in 1973, has placed the winning bid for Gare Palma IV/7 coal mine by quoting the highest ever revenue share or premium over and above the floor price in the first commercial coal mine auctions.
The company quoted a revenue share of 66.75 per cent for the mine having a total geological reserve of 234.205 million tonnes with peak rated capacity of 1.20 million tonne per annum.
