Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat Tuesday visited the historic temple of Mata Kaushalya located in Chandkhuri at the outskirts of the Chhattisgarh capital.
Mata Kaushalya temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Mata Kaushalya, mother of Lord Ram. located at Chandkhuri village around 27 km away from Raipur in Chhattisgarh, it is the only temple in the world dedicated to Mata Kaushalya.
Dr Bhagwat is in the Chhattisgarh capital to attend the Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak 2022 of the RSS inspired organisation. The meeting concluded Monday evening.
On Tuesday, Dr Bhagwat reached Mata Kaushalya temple and offered prayer. The entire premises had been renovated and beautified recently. The Prant Sanghchalak, Dr Purnendu Saxena, Mahanagar Sanghchalak Mahesh Birla and other Sangh officials accompanied him.
He later went to the Ram Temple on the VIP road and offered prayer. The Ram Temple is a centre of attraction in the Chhattisgarh capital with magnificent architecture.
The Sarsanghchalak makes it a point to visit the historic temple of the area during his stay.
