SECL given Golden Rainbow Award

Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) Dr Prem Sagar Mishra has been conferred with the “Best CEO” Award for outstanding contribution in the field of coal mining under Excellence Awards at the 24th GeoMinetech Symposium held in Bhubaneswar between July 11 and12.
A statement issued by the company said that under the visionary leadership of CMD Dr Prem Sagar Mishra, SECL has achieved an increase of 20 million tonnes in coal production in FY 23-24 over the record increase of 25 million tonnes recorded last year.
Dr Mishra has been instrumental in propagating and nurturing the culture of mission mode under which many missions have been started, including Mission Nachiketa for skill development, Mission Sudesh for sustainable development, Mission MITAWA for safety and Mission FITE and Mission Jatayu for vigilance and transparency. These initiatives have received accolades across the coal industry.
At the function, SECL has also been given the Golden Rainbow Award for better performance on parameters like production, environmental enhancement, HR excellence, efficient performance in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and disaster management, maintenance of HEMM machines, CSR work and safety etc.
On 14th July 2024, SECL Functional Directors met CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra and congratulated him and presented the awards received during the ceremony.
