SECL CMD Dr Prem Sagar Mishra has been honoured with the “Business Leader of the Year Award” for the second consecutive year.
Under the leadership of CMD Dr Mishra the company has recently achieved the fastest coal production of 150 MT in its history. Promoting sustainable development, this year the company has planted more than 10 lakh saplings, the highest in Coal India.
Two days ago, he was honoured with “CEO with HR Orientation Award” for HR -centric management.
SECL CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra’s dynamic leadership and managerial excellence have received national-level recognition. CMD Dr. Mishra has been honoured with the prestigious “Business Leader of the Year (PSU)” award at a grand event held in Mumbai on 17/02/2024.
The said award was received by SECL delegation at the 22nd edition of Business Leader of the Year Awards held at Taj Hotel, Mumbai.
It is noteworthy that under the leadership of CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra, SECL is continuously touching new heights. This year, the company has achieved the fastest production of 150 million tonnes in its history for the second consecutive time, and in OBR, the company is moving towards a new record, surpassing the total OBR of last year 2 months early.
With the mantra of “samvedansheel prabandhan – samvadsheel prabandhan”, positive changes have been brought under the leadership of CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra keeping the interest of landowners in mind and employment has been approved for more than 1000 land owners from February 2022 till now.
Also, to promote sustainable development, under the able guidance of CMD Dr. Mishra, the company has planted more than 10 lakh saplings this year, which is the highest among all the subsidiaries of Coal India. To ensure environment-friendly coal mining, the company has deployed Surface Miners in Opencast mines and Continuous Miners in underground mines.
The company is committed to the all-round development of the coal belt through CSR. The company has installed more than 800 smart classes in government schools of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh states, through which more than 1 lakh children from rural and tribal-dominated areas are getting the opportunity to study with advanced technology. Also, under the “SECL ke Sushrut” scheme, free residential NEET-medical coaching is being given to the children of Koyalanchal, which will fulfill the dream of these children of becoming doctors.
