South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has given Diwali gift to its employees before Dussehra.
The company is paying about almost 3 billion (295 crore) to its more than 36000 employees. Rs 93,750 will reach the account of each employee of the company as a bonus (Performance Linked Reward).
Last year, a bonus of Rs 93,750 was paid to the employees by SECL and thus this year’s bonus has increased by more than 10 per cent.
In the year 2010, the employees got Rs 17,000 as a bonus and in the last 12 years, the bonus of the employees has increased by more than 5 times. If we look at the entire Coal India, there are more than two lakh employees working here. Thus, an amount of more than 1850 crores will be distributed among these employees.
A meeting was recently convened in New Delhi to decide the bonus for the workers of Coal India (CIL) and its subsidiary companies including Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in which Coal India management and union representatives were present. All the workers were very happy to receive the bonus before Diwali and they thanked the management for the timely payment of the bonus.
