South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organised a plantation drive on Monday under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” as part of Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2024.
CMD Dr Prem Sagar Mishra, Functional Directors and CVO spread the message of cleanliness by planting saplings at SECL Vasant Vihar Colony.
On this occasion, Director Technical (Operations) S N Kapri, Director Technical (Project/Planning) Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Finance) D Sunil Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer Himanshu Jain also participated in the drive and planted saplings.
The plantation drive saw more than 100 saplings being planted today under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, in which heads of departments, officers and employees of the headquarters also participated enthusiastically.
The theme of this year’s Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan of the Government of India is “Swabhaav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata”. Under the guidance of Ministry of Coal, coal companies across the nation are reigniting the spirit of collective action and citizen participation for cleanliness in the coal belt.
The three key pillars of this year’s campaign are to run a cleanliness campaign by identifying Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs), public participation in cleanliness and organizing welfare activities for Safai Mitras.
With these objectives, various programs are being organized by running Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan from 14th September to 2nd October in SECL headquarters and operational areas.
