Under the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organized a Walkathon today, on 29 October 2025. More than 100 officers and employees enthusiastically participated in the event, spreading the message of vigilance and integrity.
The walkathon was flagged off by SECL CMD Harish Duhan, along with Director (Technical/Operations) N Franklin Jayakumar, Director (HR) Biranchi Das, Director (Technical/Planning & Projects) Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra, and Chief Vigilance Officer Himanshu Jain.
The rally commenced from the SECL Headquarters and concluded at Ravindra Bhawan, SECL Vasant Vihar. Throughout the route, participants raised slogans promoting vigilance awareness and conveyed a strong message against corruption with great enthusiasm and team spirit.
On this occasion, messages from President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy, and Central Vigilance Commissioner Praveen Kumar Srivastava were read out.
CMD Harish Duhan administered the Integrity Pledge to all participants. In his address, he emphasized that corruption is not only committing a wrong act but also failing to perform one’s duty sincerely and responsibly. He appreciated the Vigilance Department for organizing such an impactful event, adding that activities like this play a vital role in spreading vigilance awareness among the masses.
