A three-month special campaign for vigilance awareness was launched at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) headquarters from Wednesday.
Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Dr Prem Sagar Mishra administered the oath of vigilance at the function organized at the headquarters in Bilaspur. Jayant Kumar Khamari, Chief Vigilance Officer, SECL, made a power point presentation and discussed various topics related to vigilance during the coordination meeting of General Managers.
During the three-month programme, useful information will be given on special awareness about Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informer (PIDPI) complaints, training programmes, promotion of use of IT tools, systemic reforms etc.
Dr Mishra announced Mission FITE (FITE – Fairness, Integrity, Transparency, and Equality) which will prove to be important in the direction of spreading vigilance and awareness.
It may be noted that as a prelude to the Vigilance Awareness Week, 2023, the Central Vigilance Commission has called upon all organizations to create awareness about various areas such as Public Interest Disclosure and Whistleblower (PIDP) Resolution, Capacity Building Programme, identification and implementation of systemic reform measures, about taking advantage of information technology in complaint redressal etc by running a three-month campaign (16 August 2023 – 15 November 2023).
The Central Vigilance Commission observes Vigilance Awareness Week every year in the week in which Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday falls. This year, the Commission has decided that the Vigilance Awareness Week will be observed from 30 October 2023 to 5 November 2023.
SECL Functional Directors, General Managers of various operational areas of SECL and various heads of departments from the headquarters were present in the program today.
